WIP LATINO 12
Stay tuned for the call for submissions for the 12th edition of WIP LATINO, taking place as part of the 17th edition of GLAFF in Los Angeles.
Awards and Benefits
This program provides professional services and a cash award designed to support filmmakers in completing their projects:

$10,000 USD Cash Award, presented by the University of Guadalajara Foundation USA.

In-Kind Services: selected films may be eligible for awards covering professional services such as image post-production, color correction, sound post-production, distribution, and more.

Festival Hospitality: selected projects will receive accreditation for one (1) representative of the participating feature film, as well as accommodation for the duration of the event in Los Angeles.
Who Can Participate?
Eligible Projects:
→ Narrative feature films
→ Documentary feature films
Projects must be in the editing or post-production stage and seeking support to complete the film.
Eligibility:
→ Latin American filmmakers
→ Latinx filmmakers
→ Filmmakers from BIPOC communities based in the United States
Submission Requirements
Projects must:
→ Have at least a first cut of the film.
→ Have a runtime of 60 to 140 minutes.
→ Provide a private, password-protected viewing link.
→ Not have been released as a completed film.
→ Be submitted by an individual 18 years or older who holds a key creative role in the project.

What type of projects are eligible to apply to?
Fiction or documentary feature films in the editing or post-production stage (with at least a rough cut), made by Latinx, Latin American, or BIPOC filmmakers residing in the U.S.
What should be the length of the submitted cut?
It must be at least 60 minutes long and no longer than 140 minutes in duration.
Does the cut need subtitles?
Yes, in either English or Spanish. If it is not yet subtitled, it may still be submitted; but if selected, subtitles must be added.
Can the film be submitted if it has already screened at festivals?
No. Only works that have not been premiered or screened in competitive or showcase sections as a finished film will be accepted.
What post-production processes must the film still require?
At least two processes, such as editing, color correction, sound, etc. Projects that only need distribution are not eligible.
When is the submission period?
