WORK-IN-PROGRESS

For eight years consecutively, the GuadaLAjara Film Festival has organized Work in Progress Latino, or WIP LATINO, an industry section dedicated to select and highlight the work of Latino and BIPOC filmmakers with narrative and documentary films currently in their post-production stage.

The films selected by our committee reflect the most relevant topics of the Latino reality, inside and outside the United States. They are films that, even in their current stage, show great manufacturing and quality in their stories.

For this year’s edition, we have selected 7 feature films, highlighting that 3 films have been made by Latino filmmakers living in the USA, fulfilling the objective of supporting and building bridges with the community that is making films in this territory.

The projects will be screened before members of the film and entertainment industry. The objective is for them to receive feedback, ideas and support to take their projects to the next level and help them to complete their films.
