Synopsis
Sam is secretly starting to question their gender identity and is finding it difficult to express how they feel. But one night, while ritualistically caressing their older sister’s dress, a fearless urban fox jumps through the window and steals it. Trying desperately to retrieve it out of fear of being caught, Sam is led on a wild goose chase through the family home and into the dark attic. When they eventually fumble around and find the light switch, they realise that there is much more to this mysterious fox than Sam could’ve ever dreamed of. The unlikely duo embark on a magical musical journey to discover the surprising things they might have in common, and how to celebrate the ways in which they differ.
Sinopsis
Sam empieza en secreto a cuestionar su identidad de género y le resulta difícil expresar lo que siente. Pero una noche, mientras acaricia ritualísticamente el vestido de su hermana mayor, un intrépido zorro urbano salta por la ventana y se lo roba. En un intento desesperado por recuperarlo, temiendo quedar al descubierto, Sam se embarca en una persecución alocada que le lleva por toda la casa hasta el oscuro ático. Al encender la luz descubre que hay mucho más en este misterioso zorro de lo que jamás habría imaginado. La improbable dupla emprende un viaje musical y mágico para descubrir las sorprendentes cosas que tienen en común y cómo celebrar aquellas en las que son diferentes.

Director's Bio
Lisa ‘Lee’ Ott is a Swiss animation director based in London. They moved to the UK nine years ago to pursue a career in film and fell in love with stop-motion in the process. Lee studied Model Making before joining the puppet team at Mackinnon & Saunders, helping to create puppets to bring other people’s stories to life. Most recently they worked on projects like Oscar and Bafta-winning Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio and Netflix’s The House. Due to their wish to see more LGBTQIA+ stories being told in animation, they decided to take the leap into directing by attending the Directing Animation course at the National Film and Television School. There, Lee was able to find like-minded creatives and directed their debut stop-motion short, Dragfox. Lee’s work consistently deals with themes of belonging and their experience of growing up queer in a rural farming village, as well as a celebration of the differences within the LGBTQ+ community.
Lisa “Lee” Ott es une directore de animación suiza radicada en Londres. Se mudó al Reino Unido hace nueve años para perseguir una carrera en el cine y, en el proceso, se enamoró del stop-motion. Lee estudió Modelado antes de unirse al equipo de marionetas de Mackinnon & Saunders, donde contribuyó a crear algunas que cobraron vida para contar historias. Más recientemente, trabajó en proyectos como Pinocho de Guillermo del Toro —ganador del Óscar y del BAFTA— y La casa de Netflix. Motivade por el deseo de ver más historias LGBTQIA+ representadas en la animación, decidió dar el salto a la dirección al inscribirse en el curso de Dirección de Animación en la National Film and Television School. Allí pudo conectar con otros creadores afines y dirigió su primer cortometraje en stop-motion, Dragfox. La obra de Lee aborda temas relacionados con el sentido de pertenencia y su experiencia de crecer como persona queer en un pueblo rural, al mismo tiempo que celebra las diferencias dentro de la comunidad LGBTQ+.
