  1. What is GLAFF?

GLAFF (GuadaLAjara Film Festival) is a nonprofit film festival that celebrates Latin American, Latinx, and BIPOC voices in film and culture. Each year, it bridges stories between both sides of the border through film, community, and education.

 

  1. When and where does it take place?

This year’s edition will take place November 6–8, 2025, across iconic venues in Los Angeles such as The United Theater on Broadway, Linwood Dunn Theater, Vidiots, Alamo Drafthouse DTLA, Milagro Cinemas Norwalk, and events hosted in collaboration with ASU and the University of Guadalajara LA, both located at the Herald Examiner Building in Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA).

 

  1. Who organizes the festival?

GLAFF is presented by the University of Guadalajara Foundation USA, in collaboration with the Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG), the Grodman Legacy, and the Universidad de Guadalajara.

 

  1. What can I expect at the festival?

You’ll enjoy a diverse selection of feature films and short films from Latin American, Latinx, and BIPOC filmmakers. The festival also includes masterclasses, panels, networking events, and our WIP (Work in Progress) Latino program supporting films in post-production.

 

  1. How can I get tickets or passes?

Tickets and All-Access Passes are available at glaff.org. Please note that Gala screenings and special events may require separate RSVP. Even with an All-Access Pass, attendees must reserve their seats in advance to secure entry for each screening or event.

 

  1. Are events open to the public?

Yes! Most screenings and talks are open to the public. However, some industry events and galas are by invitation or RSVP only.

 

  1. Where do the proceeds go?

100% of ticket proceeds are donated to a nonprofit that supports the Latinx community in the U.S. This year, we’re proud to partner with Public Counsel, helping advance justice and equity for the Latino community.

 

  1. How can I volunteer or get involved?

We’d love to have you! You can sign up to volunteer, become a community partner, or learn other ways to contribute by visiting the “Show Your Support” section on our website.

 

  1. How can I submit my film?

Submissions are currently closed. Stay tuned for our 2026 Call for Entries, which will be announced early next year on our website and social channels.

GLAFF (GuadaLAjara Film Festival) es un festival de cine sin fines de lucro que celebra las voces latinoamericanas, latinx y BIPOC en el cine y la cultura. Cada año, crea puentes entre ambas comunidades a través del cine, la educación y el intercambio cultural.

Una selección diversa de largometrajes y cortometrajes de cineastas latinoamericanos, latinx y BIPOC. Además, clases magistrales, paneles, encuentros de industria y el programa WIP (Work in Progress) Latino, que apoya películas en postproducción.
  1. ¿Dónde puedo comprar boletos o pases?
Los boletos y All-Access Passes están disponibles en glaff.org. Algunas galas y eventos especiales requieren RSVP. Incluso con un All-Access Pass, es necesario reservar tu lugar con anticipación para asegurar tu acceso a cada función o evento.
  1. ¿Los eventos son abiertos al público?
Sí, la mayoría de las funciones y charlas son abiertas al público. Sin embargo, algunos eventos de industria o galas requieren invitación o RSVP.
  1. ¿A dónde se destinan los ingresos de taquilla?
El 100% de los ingresos de taquilla se dona a una organización sin fines de lucro que apoya a la comunidad latinx en Estados Unidos. Este año, los fondos beneficiarán a Public Counsel, para seguir promoviendo la justicia y la equidad para la comunidad latina.
  1. ¿Cómo puedo participar o ser voluntario/a?
¡Nos encantaría contar contigo! Puedes registrarte como voluntario, convertirte en socio comunitario o conocer otras formas de apoyar visitando la sección “Show Your Support” en nuestro sitio web.
  1. ¿Cómo puedo inscribir mi película?
Por el momento, las inscripciones están cerradas. Te invitamos a estar pendiente de nuestra Convocatoria 2026, que se anunciará a inicios del próximo año en nuestro sitio web y redes sociales.
