At GLAFF, we believe that education plays a key part in supporting emerging voices in film. As an initiative of the University of Guadalajara Foundation USA, with roots in the Universidad de Guadalajara, we are deeply committed to learning and creative growth.
Through our educational programs and mentorship opportunities, we help Latin American, Latinx, and BIPOC filmmakers develop their projects, build connections, and share their stories with a broader audience.
En GLAFF, creemos que la educación es fundamental para apoyar a las voces emergentes del cine. Como iniciativa de la University of Guadalajara Foundation USA, con raíces en la Universidad de Guadalajara, estamos profundamente comprometidos con el aprendizaje y el crecimiento creativo.

Bridges is a program developed in partnership with Get Lit – Words Ignite, welcoming young writers and poets to reflect through writing. It’s a creative space where new voices engage with films, stories, and themes relevant to Latin American, Latinx, and BIPOC communities.
Bridges es un programa desarrollado en colaboración con Get Lit – Words Ignite, que invita a jóvenes escritores y poetas a reflexionar a través de la escritura. Es un espacio creativo donde nuevas voces interactúan con películas, historias y temas relevantes para las comunidades latinoamericanas, latinxs y BIPOC.
Our workshops are designed to bring filmmaking and storytelling tools closer to the community. The goal is to make creative skills more accessible. These sessions offer a welcoming space for anyone, whether you’re already curious about these topics or just starting to explore them.
Nuestros talleres están diseñados para acercar herramientas de creación narrativa y cinematográfica a la comunidad. El objetivo es lograr que las habilidades creativas sean más accesibles. Estas sesiones ofrecen un espacio acogedor para todos, ya sea que estos temas ya te llamen la atención o que apenas estés empezando a explorarlos.
