Set on the day a nameless, female prisoner is released from the Giudecca Prison, Dovecote is a film about self-discovery and existential reflection. A personal attempt to explore the boundless depths of the human spirit and the strength of a woman’s soul.
Ambientada en el día en que una prisionera es liberada de la prisión de Giudecca, Dovecote es una película sobre el autodescubrimiento y la reflexión existencial. Un intento por explorar las profundidades ilimitadas del espíritu humano y la fortaleza del alma de una mujer.

Marco Perego
Born in Vimercate (MI), Marco Perego works in Los Angeles and lives with his wife and their three children. The artist has a profound interest in the search for new kinds of transformation and transcendence. His body of work addresses the turbulent times we live in and aims to start a conversation about the incessant change of the world around and within us.
Perego’s work has been shown internationally at the Michele Maccarone gallery in New York and Los Angeles, Museum Modern Art in Bologna, National Archaeology Museum in Florence, Rennie Museum in Vancouver, The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, and Untilthen in Paris. Perego’s works are present in the public collections of Jumex in Mexico City, Rennie Museum in Vancouver, Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, and the Pinault Collection in Paris.
Perego recently completed writing and directing his first feature film, The Absence of Eden, produced by Martin Scorsese. The Academy Library Museum acquired the screenplay of the film, to be part of the permanent collection of the museum. The artist is currently showing at the 2024 Venice Biennale as part of the Vatican Pavilion. In 2025, an installation of his work will be presented at the Capsule of Centre Pompidou-Metz.
