Ximena graduated from Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC), she has made numerous fiction and documentary film productions that have been recognized at various national and international festivals.
In ADN 40 she has served as host of the programs “El Foco” and “Documentales 40” and collaborated in the news programs “Informativo 40 Sábado” with Juan Pablo de Leo, “Informativo 40 afternoon” with Pablo Hiriart and “Todo Personal” with Jorge Fernández Menéndez, “Es de Mañana” with Monica Garza and Manuel López San Martín, as well as on Radio Fórmula with Oscar Mario Beteta, in which they address current affairs and film history. ”. She also served as the host of AZ Cinema. As a film columnist, she has written in various magazines and newspapers such as “La Razón” “Capital”, “Cine Premier”, “Central”, among others.
Among his recognitions as a filmmaker, she was awarded first place of Eco film 2011, first place at “Hazlo en Corto 2012”, Best Documentary Short at José Rovirosa Awards, the XIV Ibero-American Festival of University Short Films of Caracas VIART 2010, where she received the Award for Best Production. She was present at the 18th edition of the Biarritz Festival, Cinema and Cultures of Latin America, within the Official Competition, as well as at the Acapulco International Film Festival in December 2010, as well as the Morelia LAB award. Her short film “ELLA” received an Ariel nomination and was part of the official selection of the Morelia International Film Festival, the Sydney Latino Film Festival as well as the Bangkok International Film Festival, the Lima International Film Festival, Arte Careyes and the Marseille Film Festival in France among others.
She is the producer of the documentary feature film “El Buen Cristiano” filmed in Guatemala during the trial of former President Efraín Ríos Montt for genocide.
The documentary had a successful tour of more than 15 festivals worldwide and was the recipient of the Feisal award at the FICG.
She currently serves as the Director of the GuadaLAjara Film Festival in Los Angeles.

Entre sus reconocimientos como cineasta se encuentran, el primer lugar de Eco film 2011, primer lugar de “Hazlo en Corto 2012”, Mejor Corto Documental del premio José Rovirosa, el XIV Festival Iberoamericano de Cortometrajes Universitarios de Caracas VIART 2010, donde recibió Premio a Mejor Producción, estuvo presente en la 18 edición del Festival de Biarritz, Cine y Culturas de América Latina, dentro de la Competencia Oficial, así como en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Acapulco en diciembre del 2010, así como el premio Morelia LAB. Su cortometraje “ELLA” recibió una nominación al Ariel y formó parte de la selección oficial del Festival Internacional de Morelia, El festival de cine latino de Sídney así como el Festival Internacional de Cine de Bangkok, Festival Internacional de Cine de Lima, Arte Careyes y el Festival de cine de Marsella en Francia entre otros.
Es productora del largometraje documental ”El Buen Cristiano” filmado en Guatemala durante el juicio que se hizo al ex presidente Efraín Ríos Montt por genocidio.
El documental tuvo un exitoso recorrido por más de 15 festivales a nivel mundial y fue acreedor del premio Feisal en el FICG.

Perez began her career in Talent Management at International Creative Management (ICM). After leaving ICM, her goal was to create multicultural content that resonates globally: She began working for the production company, CANANA Films. Perez’s projects have been supported by TIFF, SFFILM, WIF, SUNDANCE, AND FILM INDEPENDENT. As a Latinx creator, Perez continues to foster and support young filmmakers through her work as a thesis mentor at AFI and through her work at the GuadaLAjara Film Festival.

Después de dejar ICM, su objetivo era crear contenido multicultural que resuene a nivel mundial: comenzó a trabajar para la productora CANANA Films. Eva Ruiz de Chavez was born in Mexico in 1986. She holds a BA in Communication with a Major in Cinema from Universidad Iberoamericana and the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. She has taken numerous courses in both Direction and Screenwriting with a specialty in Entertainment Business Management at UCLA. Her experience focuses on packaging and production of diverse and inclusive content through talent management.
Eva started her career at IBERO 90.9 fm, as the host, producer, and writer for “El Cine Y…,” a documentary film program, for five years while editing the Cinema and Media section for NEXOS magazine. Other relevant projects include the creation and direction of the KINOKI Film Festival in Mexico City. She was the producer of Danzón No. 2, a period drama based on the symphony by ARTURO MARQUEZ. She collaborated with AG STUDIOS, HBO, and LEMON FILMS where she developed projects such as the EMMY AWARD WINNER SEÑOR AVILA (HBO), the Morelia Selection RESTOS, SPECTRE starring PAZ VEGA and THE JESUIT. She later became a manager for TALENT ON THE ROAD, one of the major talent agencies for Latinos where she ran the L.A office. She led the crossover of talent like LUIS GERARDO MENDEZ, CARLOS BARDEM, TENOCH HUERTA, PAULINA GARCIA, and many others. As the founder of PANAMERICANA PICTURES, she produced EL CHAPO (Netflix/UNIVISION), acting as the head of production in Mexico. Currently, she develops Jai Alai, an original series by JULIO MEDEM, and is the creator of the civic trans media project; “@ciudad.salvaje” (WILD CITY). She is currently a CREATIVE PRODUCER for the GUADALAJARA FILM FESTIVAL.

Estrella Araiza is the General Director of the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) in Mexico, and Cineteca FICG. Her career includes experience as director of Industry and Market of the FICG, sales agent, academic and cinema distributor in Mexico. She began her career in international distribution in 2005; by 2012 she began her own company Vendo Cine. She has been part of the Jury in International Film Festivals; She also has collaborated and participated in international film markets. Estrella Araiza es actualmente la Directora General del Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG) y de la Cineteca FICG. En su trayectoria se encuentra experiencia como directora de Industria y Mercado del FICG, agente de ventas, académica y distribuidora en el territorio mexicano. Comenzó su carrera en la distribución internacional en 2005; en 2012 fundó su empresa Vendo Cine. Estrella ha sido jurado en festivales internacionales; además de colaborar y participar en mercados fílmicos de relevancia internacional. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Iris studied Broadcasting Communications and ventured into journalism, radio, and TV. In 2005, she relocated to Vancouver, BC, transitioning from her role as an Assistant Director on films like “TWILIGHT” and “PLANET OF THE APES” to becoming a producer for James Franco’s Rabbit Bandini Production Company. Her notable collaborations with James Franco include “BUKOWSKI”, “IN DUBIOUS BATTLE”, and the Sundance-premiered “INTERIOR LEATHER BAR”. Other credits include “GOAT”, “KING COBRA”, and Sony TV’s “MOTHER MAY I SLEEP WITH?” as well as “EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE”. In 2017, she co-founded Firehouse Films with Tom Franco, emphasizing socially conscious content. Iris also serves as the head of Industry at the GuadaLAjara Film Festival, uas part of her importance to connect with her Latin-American roots.

Born in Mazatlán, Sinaloa in 1985. Miller has a bachelor degree in Audiovisual Arts from the Department of Image and Sound at the University of Guadalajara. Since 2013, he has been part of the programming and public relations departments, but currently works as industry coordinator at the Guadalajara International Film Festival. He has participated in various film productions, including feature films and short films, as a scriptwriter and sound mixer. As well as in the organization of international events such as Raindance Film Festival in London, FICG in LA in Los Angeles and the World Expo in Dubai. He has been a jury for audiovisual projects at important film festivals such as the Viña de Mar International Film Festival, Bogotá Audiovisual Market, Santiago de Chile International Film Festival and Nuevas Miradas in Havana, Cuba. He was a member of the national evaluation committee of EFICINE production.

Born in Mexico City, Alfredo is a producer and publicist based in Los Angeles. He has worked with GLAFF since 2021 in creative production, programming and this year joining as lead publicist along with Block-Korenbrot Public Relations, the agency he is a part of. Working at BK-PR he has been a part of the team running awards campaigns for Sony Pictures Classics titles including Pedro Almodovar’s “Parallel Mothers”, “Living” starring Bill Nighy, and “The Son” directed by Academy Award winner Florian Zeller. Besides GLAFF, Alfredo has been a guest programmer for a shorts selection at LACMA, FICG in 2022, NewFilmmakers LA, and has taught film analysis since 2020 through his project “Educando el Ojo”. He is currently producing two short films.
Alfredo is a graduate from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, with a B.A. in Film, Television, and Media Studies, and a Minor in Business Administration, and is the 2021 recipient of the School of Film and Television Departmental Award for academic achievement, creative and scholarly excellence, and service to the community.

Tania is an audiovisual producer with more than 14 years of experience in cultural management for public institutions, with an emphasis on production and evaluation of audiovisual projects. She currently works at the Guadalajara International Film Festival, coordinating Coproduction meetings and Episode 0 Program. In addition, she produces cultural events linked to audiovisual training and dissemination activities in both Mexico and Chile. Additionally she is involved in documentary productions, like the Chilean project “La Cordillera de los Sueños” by documentary filmmaker Patricio Guzmán.

Tania es realizadora audiovisual con especialización en producción, teniendo más de 14 años de experiencia en la gestión cultural vinculada a instituciones públicas, con énfasis en formulación y evaluación de proyectos audiovisuales. Actualmente trabaja en el Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara, a cargo de los programas Encuentro de coproducción y Episodio 0: series en desarrollo. Complementariamente produce eventos culturales vinculados a actividades de formación y difusión audiovisual tanto en México como en Chile. Tania se ha involucrado en producciones documentales, siendo su última experiencia participar en el equipo de producción en Chile de “La Cordillera de los sueños” del documentalista Patricio Guzmán.

JORGE MOLINA

Jorge Molina was born and raised in a suburb of Mexico City, and came to the US to receive a BFA in the Writing for Film and Television program of the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He has worked extensively inside the film festival circuit as a programmer and various other roles in organizations like LALIFF, Outfest, Frameline, NewFest, and Sundance.
His scripts have placed him high in competitions like the Outfest Screenwriting Lab and the Austin Film Festival, and he was a finalist in the first edition of the Ojalá Ignition Lab. He wrote and executive produced the short film “Muy Gay Too Mexicano”, which was acquired by HBO Max and premiered in the platform in the fall of 2021. He also is the creator and showrunner of the award season murder mystery scripted podcast Just to Be Nominated, and the co-founder and director of IMFest, an organization for and by young immigrant artists that showcases their art and connects them with the larger Hollywood community.
Jorge can be found listening to ABBA Gold or reading Agatha Christie at any given moment.

Jorge Molina nació y se crió en un suburbio de la Ciudad de México y se mudo a los Estados Unidos para recibir un BFA en el programa de Escritura para Cine y Televisión de la Escuela de Artes Cinematográficas de USC. Ha trabajado extensamente dentro del circuito de festivales de cine como programador y varios otros roles en organizaciones como Outfest y el Instituto de Cine de Sundance.
Actualmente es el Gerente de Programación en el Festival Internacional de Cine Latino de Los Ángeles (LALIFF). Sus guiones lo han colocado en lo más alto de certámenes como el Outfest Screenwriting Lab y el Austin Film Festival, y fue finalista en la primera edición del Ojalá Ignition Lab. Escribió y fue productor ejecutivo del cortometraje “Muy Gay Too Mexicano”, que fue adquirido por HBO Max y se estrenó en la plataforma en el otoño de 2021. También es el creador y productor ejecutivo del podcast con guión de misterio de asesinato de la temporada de premios Just to Be Nominado, y cofundador y director de IMFest, una organización para y por jóvenes artistas inmigrantes que exhibe su arte y los conecta con la comunidad de Hollywood en general.

Born in Monterrey, Nuevo León. Since she was young, she has always been interested in the film industry, which led her to move to Guadalajara to study Film Production. She began her professional career as a producer in short films, series and commercials for small and large companies, and later embarked on her path in the operating committees of various film festivals in Mexico. She has been a member of the International Animated Feature Film, International Animated Short Film and Ibero-American Fiction Short Film selection committees at the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG). She currently coordinates the traffic department at FICG, Cineforo and Cineteca FICG.

Desde sus primeros años estuvo interesada en la industria cinematográfica, lo cual la llevo a mudarse a Guadalajara para estudiar la carrera de Realización Audiovisual. Comenzó su carrera profesional como productora en cortometrajes, series y comerciales de pequeñas y grandes empresas para después emprender su camino en los comités operativos de diversos festivales de cine en México. Ha sido miembro de los comités de selección de Largometraje Internacional de Animación, Cortometraje Internacional de Animación y Cortometraje Iberoamericano de Ficción en el Festival internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG). Actualmente coordina el departamento de tráfico en el FICG, Cineforo y Cineteca FICG.

Producer of the Opening and Closing Galas at the GuadaLAjara Film Festival, she has extensive experience in the production, coordination and execution of large cultural, social and entertainment events. She graduated from the TV Department. and University Video of the U.deG., she began her career as a producer and assistant director in short films, feature films, corporate videos and TV commercials.
With studies in communication sciences, marketing and cultural management, she compiled and systematized information for the archive of the Center for Research and Cinematographic Studies, CIEC, of the U. de G.; she directed the Communication department at Cáritas de Guadalajara; Public Relations at ZapoPUM and FICG; and she collaborated as a cultural manager and announcer in various radio, theater and dance projects in the city of Guadalajara.
She has worked as a producer at the Guadalajara International Book Fair, the Music Fair, MTV VMAs, the U. de G. Folkloric Ballet, LéaLA, FICG in LA, Guanamor Theater Studio and Agavia Films, among others. She also participated in the execution and operation of the Exhibition at Home with my Monsters by Guillermo del Toro.
For several years she has been the Events Coordinator at the Guadalajara International Film Festival.

Productora de las Galas de Inauguración y Clausura en GuadaLAjara Film Festival, cuenta con una amplia experiencia en producción coordinación y ejecución de grandes eventos culturales, sociales y de entretenimiento. Egresada del Departamento de Tv. y Video Universitario de la U.deG., inicio su trayectoria como productora y asistente de dirección en cortometrajes, largometrajes, videos coorporativos y comerciales para tv.
Con estudios en Ciencias de la comunicación, mercadotecnia y Gestión cultural, realizo recopilación y sistematización de información para el archivo del Centro de Investigación y Estudios Cinematográficos, CIEC, de la U. de G.; dirigió el departamento de Comunicación en Cáritas de Guadalajara; Relaciones Públicas en ZapoPUM y FICG; y colaboro como gestora cultural y locutora en diversos proyectos de radio, teatro y danza en la ciudad de Guadalajara.
Se ha desempeñado como productora en la Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara, la Feria de la Música, MTV VMAs, el Ballet Folclórico de la U. de G., LéaLA, FICG in LA, Guanamor Teatro Studio y Agavia Films, entre otros. También participo en la ejecución y operación de la Exposición en Casa con mis Monstruos de Guillermo del Toro.
Desde hace varios años es la Coordinadora de Eventos en el Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara.

Formerly the Head of Development and Production for Ojalá Productions, a content pod at Universal Studios Group founded by Tanya Saracho, Christine Dávila is currently producing independent film. Prior to Ojalá she was Director of Development at Warner Bros’ Stage 13, where she developed four seasons of “Two Sentence Horror Stories” created by Vera Miao for the CW, and the Emmy nominated series, “It’s Bruno” created by Solvan Naim for Netflix.
She founded the Latina Squad in February of 2021, an informal peer group of Latina development executives in Hollywood whose mission is to support one another’s upward mobility. Dávila has spent over a decade programming films for many festivals including Sundance Film Festival and Curaçao Rotterdam, and was the executive director of the 501c3 Ambulante California. She is an Industry Advisor for the SXSW Film Festival, and is a proud Chicana from Chicago.

Brandon Sanchez is an aspiring producer and screenwriter born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, based in Los Angeles. They moved to Southern California in 2020 shortly after graduating high school to pursue a career in film production, and are currently a student at the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University. Brandon was heavily influenced by the arts and culture, primarily comedy, at a young age and started out as an actor in theater before moving to video editing and eventually filmmaking towards the end of high school. They started out working in film festivals after their short documentary project was accepted to screen around the country, including Animalis Fabula in San Antonio, the New York Dog Fest in NYC, and the Top Dog Film Festival in Sydney.
Brandon is a first generation Mexican-American who plans to produce and create feature or television projects in the future that amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ people and the Latinx community. If asked, Brandon can most likely recite any scene from a Broad City episode.
