Maribel has been mourning the tragic loss of her mother in the most peculiar way imaginable— by secretly attending the funerals of strangers. After weeks of lying and searching for solace through the grief of others, her inability to move on finally catches up with her.
Maribel ha estado manifestando su luto por la trágica pérdida de su madre de la manera más peculiar: asistiendo en secreto a los funerales de extraños. Después de semanas de mentir y buscar consuelo en el dolor de los demás, su incapacidad para seguir adelante finalmente la alcanza.

Mexican-American filmmaker. Merced worked in independent films, commercials, and branded content. Merced's debut feature, The Mourning Of, won the Young Director Award Dreampitch Competition. Her previous film, Manos de Oro, has been screened at festivals including the HollyShorts Film Festival and LA Shorts International.
