Synopsis
Set in the 90s in South LA, a family grieving the loss of their beloved family member packs up their home in hopes of putting the past behind them. Tanisha, a young, artistic rap fan, tries to hold onto a beloved camera to feel closer to her mom. Meanwhile, Nate, unable to navigate his grief, buries them in work in hopes of numbing the pain. When the news of the death of a musical icon breaks, Tanisha plans to attend a vigil. When she’s met with resistance from Nate, they’re both forced to confront the emotional aftermath of their own tragedy before taking the first steps to heal.

Winter Dunn is an award-winning director, producer and actress with a passion for depicting universal stories through the lens of BIPOC voices. Her P.I. short film DEAR MAMA… World Premiered at SXSW 2022 and was awarded a Special Jury Mention in Drama at Aspen Shortsfest. Her debut short film JUNEBUG premiered at American Black Film Festival, made its television debut on FOX Soul and is currently streaming on Tubi and Issa Rae Presents/HOORAE. Dunn is also an editorial video director for Condé Nast Entertainment with a celebrity feature list that includes Lena Waithe, Kim Kardashian, Billie Eilish and others.
